Privacy notice
This says what Momentum keeps about you, what it sends to other companies, and how to have it deleted. Momentum is a trial. It is for adults only (18 or over).
What Momentum stores
- Your account: your email address and a scrambled form of your password.
- Facts and settings you give it: your time zone, when your day ends, the time you have available, your priorities and how you want things handled.
- Your goals and the targets you set under them.
- Your work items and their steps.
- Which sources count toward which target.
- Each thing you log (a workout, a timer, a tap, a tick), and anything you hide or fix.
- A snapshot of each target when a week or period ends, so changing a target later doesn't re-grade the past.
- Which setup values you took from a suggestion instead of saying them yourself, so your first weekly review can ask whether they are still right. It holds which value, never what you said.
- A copy of each weekly recap you finish, as it was shown: each target, what crossed that week, and the priorities you named in your own words. It is never rewritten, so a later entry shows beside it in words instead of changing it.
- How you plan your week: which of your steps and habits you put on which day, and which of your kinds of days a date is. You choose both, and you can change or clear either.
- Your current plan's tasks, and where you have moved them.
- Which services you have connected, and the key or sign-in token for each, kept on the server.
- How many times you have asked Claude for help, and when (a count, with no questions or answers). These counts are kept until your account is deleted.
What comes from services you connect
Only if you connect them. Your own key or sign-in token is kept on the server and is never sent to Claude.
- Hevy (workouts): for each workout, its id in Hevy, which service and goal it counts toward, its name, when it ended, how long it lasted, the total weight lifted and the number of sets, warm-up sets and exercises. Not stored: exercise names, individual sets, notes or body measurements.
- Google Calendar: for each timed event, its id in Google, which service and goal it counts toward, a fixed label, "Calendar event", in place of its real title, when it ended, how long it lasted and whether it has happened (it is over and was not cancelled). Not stored: the real title, guests, description or place. While Momentum's Google access is in the provider's testing mode, it expires about every week and you will need to connect again.
What is sent to Claude (Anthropic)
Some features ask Claude, a model made by Anthropic, to write a suggestion. Each one sends only what it needs:
- Rebalancing a plan: which week you are in, how many weeks the plan has, today's date, each week's number, how many tasks you finished in it, how many are still unfinished, each unfinished task's id, its week, its type and its due date. Not task titles, minutes or scores.
- Writing a first-week plan: the title of your goal, as you typed it, the goal type you picked, the constraints you picked, the pace you chose and the review questions you chose. Anything you type there goes to Anthropic, so leave out anything you would not want them to receive.
- Guided setup: what you've typed in the setup so far, its own earlier turns in this setup, the facts and settings you've given so far (time zone, day end, week start, day types, priorities, planning time, and how you want things handled), the goals, targets and work items you've described so far, including where each target is tracked, which answers you've already given and approved, Claude's tidied-up wording of what you've said, for you to approve, today's date on your device, as a suggested start date, when its last try at a reply was not usable, which setup rule it broke and where, the date a day or a length of time you named (like "Monday" or "two months") works out to and which app you named for tracking (like Hevy), and whether Momentum can read it yet. Not other saved goals or tasks, their ids, or your email.
- The weekly review's one-line look back: the tone you chose for how Momentum talks to you, the titles of your targets, as you typed them, where each target ended the week, in a few words (like "floor met" or "partway"), which of your levels a target reached that week, by name, whether a target is slipping, holding or hitting its aspiration week after week, whether a target is trending up, steady or down and when its last try at a line was not usable, which rule it broke, in fixed words. Not counts, dates, units, goal titles, your priorities, ids or your email. Only when you tap for the line. It is not saved.
Never sent: your email, your passwords or tokens, other people's data, or workout and calendar details.
Anthropic's terms for its API, quoted as checked on 2026-10-27. This is not legal advice, and terms can change:
- “Anthropic may not train models on Customer Content from Services.” (Commercial Terms, section B (effective Jun 17, 2025))
- “we automatically delete inputs and outputs on our backend within 30 days of receipt or generation” (Anthropic privacy centre, "How long do you store my organization's data?" (page dated July 1, 2026)). Anthropic says inputs and outputs flagged for a Usage Policy violation can be kept for up to 2 years, and data can be kept where the law requires it.
Who can see your data
Each account sees only its own data. Nobody signed in to another account can see yours. The person who runs Momentum (the operator) can see stored rows only to give support, and only when you ask.
These services handle your data on Momentum's behalf, besides Anthropic (above):
- Vercel: hosting.
- Supabase: database and sign-in email.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: checks sign-up, sign-in and password-reset requests for bots, and sees details of your browser and network connection.
On your device
Momentum keeps these in your browser:
- a cookie that keeps you signed in
- your light or dark theme, if you choose one in Settings: a cookie that holds only that one word (without it, Momentum follows your device)
- a cookie, kept for 15 minutes, that lets a password reset link open the page where you choose a new password
- which rebalance reminders you have dismissed, kept only until you close the tab
- a running timer's start time, kept in this browser until you stop it
- a setup conversation in progress, kept in this browser tab until you save it or close the tab
Getting your data deleted
For now, ask the person who invited you to the trial to delete all of your data. It is done within 14 days, and that removes your account and everything above. A way to delete your synced workouts and calendar records yourself, in the app, is planned.
